official travel information office of your place in the sun. Most Florida cities or counties have tourist development councils
(TDCs), visitor bureaus or chambers of commerce that are happy to provide you
free travel information for where you want to go.

Many TDCs that you'll find links to here have online forms that allow you to request free
travel guides for your destination. Whether
you fill out a form or call a number, you may want to ask some questions as you
plan your Florida trip:
- Think about the kind of lodging you want and the
specific qualities you want it to have. Can the TDC recommend lodging like that?
- Are
there any bargains or travel specials being offered that you should be aware of?
- Can
the TDC give you information and/or tips about the activities you'd like to do
when you get there?
- Will there be festivals or other events taking place
during your stay?
- What will the weather be like while you're there?
Don't hesitate about asking anything because TDCs are eager to provide travel information about their respective areas.

You easily can find an ecotour guide or gear outfitter in the EcoFlorida Ecotour Directory. Even if you don't know which part of Florida to go to, you can use the directory as a way to review what's available to you to see and do. There is a link to the Web site of every company listed, so you can check out a particular tour and get contact information before you make any travel plans.
